Donna Mae Fincham, 86, passed away September 15, 2018 in Bryan West Hospital in Lincoln, Neb.Visitation was Tuesday, September 18, from noon to 8 p.m. at Padden Funeral Chapel in Frankfort. The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m.A funeral service was held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 19 at the United Methodist Church in Frankfort. Rev. Jim Akins and Rev. Dan Lord officiated. The musicians were Mary Akins, Kim Stewart and Micah Kee. Music included “Amazing Grace” and “Jealous of the Angels”.Burial was in the Frankfort City Cemetery.Donna was born September 3, 1932 near Frankfort to Samuel Wallace and Alta Nina (Denlinger) Lord. Donna was raised in the Frankfort area and graduated from Frankfort High School. On December 11, 1955, she married Chester Fincham. They had three children, Linda, Chet, Jr. & Donna Mae. Donna worked at the Marshall County Jail, Manival’s Locker and Ice Cream Store, Glynn’s Dime Store, and was a school cook. She also worked for Peckham Pharmacy for 21 years and Schroeder Pharmacy, all in Frankfort, and AR-EX Drug Store in Marysville.She was a past longtime member of Beta Epsilon; Seekers; Red Hats and the Frankfort Rotary Cooking team. She was a current member of the Frankfort American Legion Auxiliary and the Frankfort United Methodist Church. She loved spending time with her family and Christmas was a special time for her. She will be remembered as a loving, gracious and humorous woman who loved her family and friends and was known as a wonderful cook and baker.Survivors include her husband, Chester; daughter, Linda; son, Chet and daughter-in-law Mary Ann; two grandsons, Travis and Jami Fincham and Anthony and Michelle Fincham; three great grandchildren, Annistyn, Henry and Holland; sister and brothers-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.She is preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Mae; parents, Sam and Alta Lord; four brothers, Everett, Wallace (Ruth), Bert (Ruth) and Ross (Joyce) Lord.A memorial fund has been established to the Frankfort United Methodist Church or Frankfort Community Care Home. Contributions may be sent in care of Padden Funeral Chapel.
