Donna Lee (Hafner) Fincham, 87, of Home, KS, passed away Saturday, June 6, 2020 at the Frankfort Community Care Center. Visitation was Tuesday, June 9 from noon to 9 p.m. at Kinsley Mortuary. A funeral service was held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 10 at Winifred Baptist Church in Winifred, KS. Rev. Curtis Fincham officiated. Becky Fincham played musical accompaniment while the congregation sang “The Solid Rock” and “My Hope is in the Lord.” The grandchildren sang “I’d Rather Have Jesus”. The pallbearers were Brent Fincham, Aaron Fincham, Brice Fincham, Brian Fincham, Brad Fincham, Chad Fincham, Jerrod Leonard, Joshua Leonard, Ben Petro and Tim Petro. Burial was in the Marysville City Cemetery. Donna was born March 29, 1933 on a farm northeast of Marysville, the daughter of Leroy and Iola (Toedter) Hafner. She attended Elliot Grade School, and Marysville High School, graduating in 1950. Donna was a homemaker and assisted her husband on the family farm. After becoming a follower of Jesus Christ at the age of 18, she became a faithful student of the Bible, and began most mornings by reading it. Over the past 70 years, she attended and served at Winifred Baptist Church, Winifred, and Victory Baptist Church in Marysville. Donna married Keith Fincham on August 6, 1952, in Marysville Kansas. He survives. Other survivors include 4 children, Allen (Nita) Fincham of Des Moines, IA, Curtis (Becky) Fincham of Ankeny, IA, Beverly (John) Leonard, of Sao Paulo, Brazil, and Brenda (Tom) Petro, of Prescott Valley, AZ, 15 grandchildren, Brent (Jodi) Fincham, April (Sam) Hague, Brice (Angie) Fincham, Aaron (Jamie) Fincham, Brian (Sara) Fincham, Brad (Jenny) Fincham, Amy (Dave) Perrott, Chad (Rachel) Fincham, Josh (Lanara) Leonard, Jerrod (Alyssa) Leonard, Jonna (Tim) O’Tool, Jeanne (Andrew) Bush, Tim (Monica) Petro, Rachel Petro, and Ben Petro, and 30 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son, Douglas Keith Fincham in 1957, and another son Rodney Jay Fincham, in 1988. Her passion as a teenager and young adult was roller skating. She was an avid gardener, and canned many jars of fruit and vegetables each year. She was a dedicated wife and mother, and her family was the focus of her life. A memorial fund has been established and will be designated later. Contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary.
