Edward J. Kabriel

Edward "Ed" Kabriel, 72, of Marysville, KS, died February 22, 2022, at Bryan Medical Center East Campus in Lincoln, NE. A memorial service for Ed and Connie was held at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 15, 2022, at the United Methodist Church in Marysville. Burial was in the Home City Cemetery. Ed was born April 11, 1949, at Marysville to Joe and Cecelia (Malacek) Kabriel. He grew up in Home, KS, and graduated from Marysville High School in 1967. Ed enlisted in the U.S. Navy but was soon honorably discharged when his father passed. He returned home and took over working the family farm. On June 28, 1975, he married Connie Parks at Frieden’s Lutheran Church in Home. Ed drove a truck for Marysville Ready Mix and served as a law enforcement officer in Marshall County. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing cards and playing with his grandchildren. Ed was preceded in death by his wife, Connie on July 1, 2021; parents; and sister, Betty. Survivors include one son, Richard (Maryann) Kabriel, Marysville; two daughters, Cassandra Kabriel and Tara Kabriel, both of Marysville; sisters, Kathy Whitmore, Lincoln, NE, and Marilyn Sipple, Home, KS; and six grandchildren, Ross, Rhett, JJ, Sylvia, Nellie and Ambrosia.
