Eileen Anne Loges

Eileen Anne Loges, 90, of Hanover, Kan., died November 9, 2018 at the Salina Regional Health Center in Salina, Kan.Visitation will be Friday, November 16, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Hanover Mortuary in Hanover. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m.A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 17 at Zion Lutheran Church in Hanover. Rev. Donna Florio will officiate. Grandson, Andrew Loges will play the piano while the congregation sings “Amazing Grace”. Mae Nieman will play the organ while the congregation sings “How Great Thou Art” and “Silent Night, Holy Night”.The pallbearers will be Chane Helm, Andrew Loges, Kirk Loges, Kyle Black, Mark Woell, Jim Goeckel, Francis Goeckel and Don Koehler.The honorary pallbearers will be Jeff Peters and Chris Holland.Burial will be in the Hanover City Cemetery.Eileen was born July 21, 1928 at Hanover to Herman and Martha (Wilken) Allerheiligen. She lived with her parents at the Pony Express Station for twelve years before moving into the home she grew up in. After graduating from Hanover High School in 1946, she attended Brown Mackie in Salina.After returning she worked for Eddy & Eddy Abstract in Marysville, in the lunch room for Hanover schools, and also Schwartz’s Store in Hanover.On October 30, 1949 she was united in marriage to Elmer Henry Loges at Zion Lutheran Church at Hanover.She was preceded in death by her parents; and sons, Michael Dean Loges and Gordon Gary Loges.Survivors include her husband, Elmer; son, David (Kim) Loges, Loveland, Colo.; daughters, Cindy (Cal) Helm, Canton, Kan., and Kay (Randy) Goss, McPherson, Kan.; daughter-in-law, Beverly Loges, Hanover; sister-in-law, Mary Ann (Jay) Bohning, Camdenton, Mo.; eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.A memorial fund has been established to Zion Lutheran Church.
