Eunice M. Meyer

Eunice M. Meyer, 70, Hollenberg, died Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at the Hanover Hospital.

Visitation was on Sunday, October 6, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Hanover Mortuary, Hanover. The family received friends from 4 to 6 p.m.

A funeral service was held at 10 a.m., Monday, October 7, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Hanover.  Rev. William Wingfield officiated.  Sheryl Kruse was the organist.  Music included "Nearer, My God, to Thee", "The Lord's My Shepherd, I'll Not Want", "I am Jesus' Little Lamb" and "I Know That My Redeemer Lives."

The pallbearers were Brett Ohlde, Clayton Ohlde, Drew Johnson, Derek Meyer, Brandon Meyer and Joshua Meyer.

Burial was in the church cemetery.

Eunice was born on November 20, 1953, in Odell, NE to Arnold and Olga (Tegtmeier) Meyer. She was baptized on November 29, 1953, at Trinity Lutheran Church by Rev. Theo Kauffeld and was confirmed on May 14, 1967, by Rev. August Pera. Eunice attended grades 1 through 8 at Trinity Lutheran School and graduated in 1971 from Hanover High School.  She attended Southeast Community College.

Eunice worked for twelve years at the Beatrice State Development Center and volunteered at several places. She then went on to work for Farm Credit Services of America, retiring after 34 years.

Eunice enjoyed being outside doing gardening, yardwork and helping with fieldwork when she could. Her favorite hobbies were sewing, counted cross stitch, puzzles and reading.

Preceding her in death were her parents; brother, Ronald Meyer; sister, Linda Meyer; uncles Arthur Meyer and wife Bernice, Paul Meyer and wife Evelyn, Edwin Meyer and wife Paula, Fred Tegtmeier and wife Luella, Carl Tegtmeier and wife Marie, John Tegtmeier and wife Martha, William Tegtmeier and wife Mable; and aunts, Hilda Oldehoeft and husband Edmond; Hulda Lohse and husband Martin; and Marcella Duis and husband Vernon.

Survivors include her sister, Marlene Ohlde and husband Stan, Clay Center; brother, Richard Meyer and wife Becky, Hanover; nieces and nephews: Brett Ohlde and wife Heather; Clayton Ohlde and wife Andrea; Nicole Johnson and husband Drew; Derek Meyer, Brandon Meyer and wife Kalyn and Joshua Meyer; great nieces and nephews: Kinsey, Kasey, Deavon, and Ian Ohlde; Dax and Cooper Johnson; Ally (Zane) Anderson, Ayla Johnson and Andyn Johnson; and many cousins and friends.
