Evelyn M. Weyer, 88, Marysville, died Friday, December 23, 2022 at Cambridge Place in Marysville. Visitation was Wednesday, December 28, 2022 from 1 until 9 p.m. at Kinsley Mortuary in Marysville, and the family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral service was at 10 a.m., Thursday, December 29, 2022 at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Marysville. Rev. Philip Miller officiated and Deb Landoll-Moore played the organ. The congregational songs will be “How Great Thou Art”, “What a Friend We Have in Jesus”, and “God Loves Me Dearly”. Wayne Kruse will sing “On Eagles Wings” and "Amazing Grace". The pallbearers were Dan Aden, Paul Aden, Allyn Weyer, Dennis Weyer, Randy Huninghake and Dave Zimmerman. Burial was in Our Savior (St. John) Lutheran Cemetery, west of Barneston, Nebraska. Evelyn May was born May 10, 1934 on a farm near Barneston, NE to Martin and Tillie (Duden) Aden. She was brought into the Lord’s family through Holy Baptism on June 3, 1934. She reaffirmed that baptismal faith through the rite of Confirmation on June 6, 1948 in St. John’ s Lutheran Church west of Barneston. Evelyn married Arvid L. Weyer on April 28, 1959 in St. John’s Lutheran Church. They lived and farmed by Home City, Kansas and Barneston, Nebraska. They were blessed with two children, Ronald and Mary. Evelyn graduated from Barneston High School in 1953. She was employed at the Citizens State Bank in Marysville from 1954 thru 1961 and was employed at the Marshall County Nursing Center from May 1979 thru November 1990. She was a member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Marysville. Evelyn was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved to watch the great grandchildren play. She enjoyed sewing, reading, crafts, coloring complex pictures and bird watching. She especially liked watching the hummingbirds and red birds outside her window at the nursing home. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Arvid; brothers, Marvin Aden and Henry Aden. Survivors include son, Ronald Weyer, Wymore; daughter, Mary (Leo) Huninghake, Frankfort; brother, Dale Aden, Beatrice; sister-in-law, Helen Weyer, Wymore; two grandchildren, Brian (Allee) Huninghake, Randy (Melissa) Huninghake; four great grandchildren Dawsyn, Gemma, Creighton and Ella; and numerous nieces and nephews.
