Everett Audran Spunaugle, 89, of Frankfort, KS, died November 22, 2019 at the Frankfort Community Care Home. Visitation is Monday, November 25, from noon to 8:00 p.m. at Padden Funeral Chapel in Frankfort. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 26 at the United Methodist Church in Frankfort.  Rev. Jim Akins will officiate.  Janet Plegge will play the organ with Angie Armstrong and Steve Gleason singing.  The songs will be "Old Rugged Cross", "In the Garden", and "How Great Though Art".  The pallbearers will be Justin Robinson, Ethan Samuelson, Andy Edwards, Brennen Price, Aaron Roberts, Jimmy Roberts, and Rick Tate.  Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery near Blue Rapids, KS. Everett was born three miles northeast of Blue Rapids on May 14, 1930, to Audran and Argie (Hunt) Spunaugle. He attended grade school at Patterson Dist. 103 and Pleasant Valley in Marshall County, and graduated from Blue Rapids High School in 1947. On September 4, 1949, he was united in holy matrimony with Joan Frank, from Irving, KS, in the Methodist Manse of Blue Rapids by the Reverend Robert Williams. Everett worked professionally as an electrician, plumber, carpenter, cabinetmaker, steel tier, and all types of concrete work. He was a square and round dance caller and instructor in northeast Kansas. He worked at Kansas State University Division of Facilities for 22 years and for 12 years he was a Physical Plant Supervisor II while being the Cost Estimator for the Facilities Shop. He retired from Kansas State on May 30, 1995. Everett was active in the Kansas Odd Fellows, holding the offices of Grand Master, Grand Secretary, Grand Treasurer, Grand Patriarch, and Department Commander of the Patriarch Militant. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge, the Frankfort Volunteer Fire Department and the Board of Directors of the Frankfort Care Home and serving five years as Director of the Board. He was a member of the Frankfort United Methodist Church and was treasurer for several years. He was preceded in death by his parents; stillborn sisters, Shirley and Sophia; and sister, Argie “Arlene” Meagher. Survivors include his wife Joan, Frankfort; children, Vicki (Phillip) Robinson, Salina, KS; Candace (Jerry) Scritchfield, Broomfield, CO; Jacque (Douglas) Griswold and Jodi (Kevin) Samuelson, Marysville, KS; brother, Elton “Tom” Spunaugle, Seward, NE; sister, Thelma Titus, Leavenworth, KS; and brother, Darrol Spunaugle, Washington, KS; seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. A memorial fund has been established and will be designated later. Contributions may be sent in care of Padden Funeral Chapel.
