Frank Nicholas Meerian, aged 58, formerly of Hanover, Kansas, passed away peacefully on December 27, 2024, at The University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus in Topeka, Kansas.
A visitation was held on Thursday, January 2, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Kinsley Mortuary in Marysville. The rosary service took place on Friday, January 3, at 9:30 a.m. at St. John's Catholic Church in Hanover, Kansas, followed by a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. He was laid to rest in the church cemetery. Father David Metz and Father Joseph Kieffer officiated. Janet Fritschi and Toby Bruna were the musicians. Music included “Come to Me”, “How Great Thou Art”, “Precious Lord, Take My Hand”, “Angel’s Among Us”, “Song of Farewell” and “On Eagle’s Wings.”
The pallbearers were Ben Meerian, Randy Bruna, Danny Bruna, Chad Alexander, Paul Alexander, Claire Meerian and Allison Meerian.
Born on April 16, 1966, in Hanover, Kansas, Frank was the son of Raymond J. and Rosalie D. (Witkowski) Meerian. He attended school in Greenleaf and received his high school diploma from Hanover High School.
Frank lived most of his life in Hanover with his mother and father. Later in life he moved to Twin Valley Developmental Services in Greenleaf and spent the last two years at Lakeside Terrace in Sabetha. Throughout his life, he found fulfillment in various jobs, including positions with Twin Valley Developmental Services Workshop at the Twin Valley Thrift Store in Hanover, Titan Trailers in Waterville, and a pallet factory in Hanover. One of his favorite places to work was at Master Teacher in Manhattan.
Frank had a passion for travel, particularly enjoying trips to Branson, Missouri, where he delighted in attending shows featuring Boxcar Willie, Mickey Gilley, and the Baldknobbers. He also loved listening to music, watching '80s television shows and professional wrestling, joking around with people and sharing laughs, and cherished moments spent fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Rosalie Meerian.
Frank is survived by his siblings, Liz Meerian of Hanover, and Randy (Shauna) Meerian of Gretna, Nebraska, as well as his beloved nieces and nephew, Claire, Allison, and Ben Meerian, his Aunt Mary Lou Meerian of Hanover and many cousins.
He will be remembered for his warm spirit and the joy he brought to those around him.
