Gale was born on April 27, 1934 to Lynn and Eva (Tatman) Collins in rural Beattie, KS. He graduated the 8th grade and started farming with his family. He was united in marriage to Lila Mae Gibson. Gale loved farming and he was happiest in the seat of a tractor. He and his wife sold NC+ Seed for 40 years. Gale worked for Harry Kane Construction and Rock, bulldozing during the day and farming in the evening so his wife didn’t have to work when their daughter, Pamela was born. Gale would also work auctions for Don Prell Auction, taking bids, until his health would no longer allow him to. Family came first and foremost. Gale always made sure they were well taken care of. Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Lila in 2018; and brother, Gerald Collins. Survivors include daughter, Pam (Kevin) McKee, Hiawatha; two grandchildren, Megan and Justin; and two great grandchildren, Camaron and Olivia. A memorial fund has been established to Marysville FFA. Contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary. To order memorial trees or send flowers to the family in memory of Gale A. Collins, please visit our flower store.
