Gary H. Jorgenson, 65, of Marysville, KS, died December 18, 2022, at the Nebraska Heart Institute in Lincoln, NE. Visitation was on Monday, December 26, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Kinsley Mortuary in Marysville. A funeral service was held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, December 27, at the Marysville United Methodist Church. Rev. Insung Kim officiated. The musicians were Kim Oatney and Maggie Hansen. Music included “Amazing Grace”, “In the Garden”, "The Old Rugged Cross" and “Oh, Come, Oh, Come, Emmanuel”. The pallbearers were Matthew Jorgenson, Lane Jorgenson, Shane Stadler, Bob Latta, Dave Bruna and Jerry Rodecap. Burial was in the Marysville City Cemetery. Gary was born January 28, 1957, to Maurice and Ethel June (Mapes) Jorgenson in Marysville. In 1975, he graduated from Linn High School. On February 27, 1988, he was united in marriage to Linda Herring at Glad Tidings Church in Marysville. Gary was a self-taught mechanic and worked for the Waterville Motor Co., Peschel Brothers and KanEquip. He went out on his own and serviced farm and construction equipment. He enjoyed tractor shows, tractor pulls, and lathe work. Survivors include his brothers, Mike (Cindy) Jorgenson, Waterville, KS, Benjy (Linda) Jorgenson, Randolph, KS, and Douglas (Nancy) Jorgenson, Waterville, KS; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, Linda, in 2010, and parents. A memorial fund has been established and will be designated later. Contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary.
