George F. Chase

George F. Chase, 77, of Beattie, KS, peacefully passed away at his home on January 24, 2024.

A funeral service to celebrate George's life was held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 2, at the Marysville Berean Church.

George was born on July 14, 1946, to Floyd and Clara (Meiniger) Chase in Atchison, KS, and graduated from Troy High School in 1964. In 1993, he relocated to his home near Beattie, dedicating himself to a career on his dairy farm until his retirement in 2019.

Known for his affection for animals, George found joy in participating in horse shows and accumulating numerous trophies over the years. George also had a warm presence at the Frankfort and Home City gas stations, which he frequented. He would enjoy coffee and engage in friendly conversations. Baking pies and desserts was another passion George embraced.

George is survived by his four children, Carrie (Bobby) Watkins of Highland, KS, Greg (Jackie) Chase of Kearney, MO, Michael (Kasey) Chase of Beattie, and Clayton Chase of Wamego; former spouse, Elaine Chase of Seneca, KS; seventeen grandchildren, Cora, Wylder, Ridge, Walker, Kylah, Carson, Kaylee, Amber, Brooke, Samantha, Kenzie, Luke, Lafe, Logan, Liam, Araceli, and Annabelle; one great-grandchild, Braxton; and four siblings, Bill Chase of St. Joseph, MO, Diana (Don) Stone of Gladstone, MO, Joan (Jerry) Dove of Topeka, KS, and Gary (Linda) Chase of Grain Valley, MO.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established with details to be designated later. Contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary.
