Geraldine “Gerri” L. Bramlage-Edwards, 92, of Marysville, died March 31, 2023, at Community Memorial Healthcare. Visitation was Sunday, April 2, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Kinsley Mortuary. A rosary service was held at 7 p.m., Sunday, at St. Gregory's Catholic Church in Marysville. A funeral service was held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, April 3, at St. Gregory's Catholic Church. Father Quentin Schmitz officiated. Musicians were Rosemary Forst and Paula Landoll-Smith. Music included “Be Not Afraid”, “Amazing Grace”, “Eye has not Seen”, “How Lovely is your Dwelling Place” and “On Eagles Wings.” Readings were by Robyn Yates, Tanner Bramlage and Elizabeth Zeit. Molly Cohorst, Ellie Yates, Annie Yates, and Gabriella Zeit provided the gifts. Larry Bramlage gave a final tribute. The pallbearers were Tanner Bramlage, Jeremy Cohorst, Joshua Cohorst, Travis Spiker, Aidan Cohorst, Garrett Cohorst and Cooper Cohorst. The honorary pallbearers were Jason Cohorst and Matthew Bramlage. Burial was in St. Gregory's Catholic Cemetery. Gerri was born on February 14, 1931, at Seneca, KS, to Lawrence and Melinda (Hasenkamp) Lierz. She was united in marriage to Bernard W. Bramlage, and together they had 7 children. After his passing, she was later married to James Clancy and then Lou Edwards. She was an active member of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church in Marysville. Here, she enjoyed helping the Altar Society and Eucharistic Minister. Gerri enjoyed working, and for many years she worked at Community Memorial Healthcare as an aide and later did sterilization prep for surgery. She liked to stay active by walking. She was preceded in death by her 3 husbands, Bernard Bramlage, James Clancy and Lou Edwards; and a daughter at birth, Mary Ann. Survivors include her daughter, Mary Jane; sons, Lawrence, Raymond, Donald, Joseph and Walter; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. A memorial fund has been established to St. Gregory’s Catholic School. Contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary.
