Glen J. Fox, 88, of Frankfort, KS, died May 8, 2024, at the Nebraska Heart Hospital in Lincoln, NE.
The visitation was held Friday, May 17, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Padden Funeral Chapel in Frankfort.
A rosary service was held at 7:00 p.m., May 17 at Annunciation Catholic Church in Frankfort.
A funeral service was held at 10:00 a.m., May 18 at Annunciation Catholic Church.
The pallbearers were Kendal Fox, Evan Fox, Ryan Bailey, Rylen Bailey, Brian Wullschleger, Mark Wullschleger, Grady Fox, Derek Sandmann, Clint Sandmann, Travis Davenport, Mitch Davenport, Jameson Eichman, Lane Eichman, Chris Ernst, Paul Hart and Anthony Norris.
Burial was in Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Glen was born on August 19, 1935, to Sylvester and Ethel (Becker) Fox at Axtell. On July 26, 1954, he was united in marriage to Katheryn McClary at Annunciation Catholic Church. They shared 70 years of life and love together.
He worked in construction with his father until he and Katheryn purchased the lumberyard in Frankfort. They operated the lumberyard for 14 years. Then Glen started Fox Construction and worked with his sons and son-in-law. After retiring, he continued to work in construction and farming.
Glen served on the board for Frankfort Community Care Home, was a trustee for Wells Township and member of the Moose Lodge, Rotary and Knights of Columbus. Glen and Katheryn enjoyed camping and were charter members of the Oregon Trail Sams whom they camped with for 23 years. He loved building things, farming and dancing and was very devoted to his family and was the best dad and grandpa ever.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Darlene Fox; and brother, Galen Fox.
Survivors include his wife, Katheryn; children, Joyce (Kevin) Lancaster, Paradise Texas, Galen (Michella Young) Fox, Rogers, TX, Janice (Randy Schulz) Sandmann, Concordia, Cheryl (Mike) Bailey, Frankfort, Carolyn (Dan) Wullschleger, Frankfort, Glenda (Brent) Eichman, Wamego, Leon (Julie) Fox, Frankfort, Kenny (Shawna) Fox, Holton, Kevin (Jayne) Fox, Hebron, NE, and Jonathan (Melinda) Fox, Omaha, TX; brother, Sylvester (Eldora) Fox, Frankfort; sister, Vickie (Ken) Gerstenkorn, Hazlett, TX; 26 grandchildren, Travis (Janae) Davenport, Mitch (Abbie) Davenport, Elise Davenport (Tyler) Potocnik, Anthony Norris, Chrissy (Mike) Milliken, Derek (Dana) Sandmann, Clint (Stacy) Sandmann, Ryan (Sarah) Bailey, Rylen (Kayla Smith) Bailey, Rachael Bailey (Ryan) Bishop, Rebekah Bailey (Austin) Rombeck, Brian (Deanna) Wullschleger, Mark Wullschleger, Jena (James) Wullschleger Shaughnessy, Jameson (Rachel) Eichman, Lane (Brittany) Eichman, Sydney Eichman, Tara (Nicholas Lierz) Fox, Grady Fox, Kendall (Ashley) Fox, Evan Fox, Shelby Fox, Chris (Kiley) Ernst, Lindsey Ernst, Stacey (Shane) Ernst Llewellyn and Paul Hart; and 37 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
A memorial fund has been established to Annunciation Catholic Church or the Frankfort Community Care Home. Contributions may be sent in care of Padden Funeral Chapel.
