Gloria Ann Scheetz, 98, of Marysville, KS, passed away on April 8, 2024, at The Lighthouse.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., May 18 at the Marysville City Cemetery. Pastor Shannon Borgman will officiate.
Gloria was born to Edward and Gertrude (Danielsen) Provost on October 31, 1925 in Clyde, KS. She attended school and graduated from high school in Blue Rapids. On March 1, 1947, she was married to Marvin “Bud” Scheetz in Kansas City, KS. They moved to Marysville in 1950.
After high school she worked in Kansas City as a bookkeeper then at Boogaarts Grocery in Marysville until her retirement. She loved gardening and playing golf. Gloria enjoyed the Friday night suppers at the club with her friends.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Marvin; and sons, David Michael Scheetz and Robert Mark Scheetz.
Gloria is survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial fund has been established and will be designated later. Contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary.
