Harold A. Linkugel, 91, Bremen, died Monday, June 4, 2018 at Cambridge Place, Marysville. Visitation was held Friday, June 8, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Kinsley Mortuary, Marysville. The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral service was held 10 a.m., Saturday June 9, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Bremen. Rev. Aaron T. Fenker, Sr. officiated. Organist was Jennifer Rupprecht and she accompanied the congregation as they sang "My Course Has Run, Praise God My Courst Has Run," "Through Jesus Blood and Merit" and "Be Still My Soul." Pallbearers were Daryl Fink, Wyatt Holle, Clay Pralle, Mark Wiemers, Marvin Pralle and Wayne Luedders. Burial was in the Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery, Bremen. Harold was born September 15, 1926, at Bremen to Otto and Louise (Knabe) Linkugel. He graduated from Marysville High School and farmed the land homesteaded by his grandparents. On September 15, 1957, he was united in marriage to Eileen Ruth Duensing at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Bremen. After farming, Harold worked many years as bookkeeper/assistant manager for the Herkimer Coop. He participated in church activities, belonged to the Bethlehem Men’s Club, liked playing golf and doing woodwork. Harold played baseball, fast pitch softball and loved to travel. After his retirement, he and Eileen would winter in Texas. He enjoyed visiting and playing with his grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Eileen in 2011; sisters, Ruth Pralle and Lulu Grauer; brothers, Edgar Linkugel, Norbert Linkugel, Orwin Linkugel, and Wilmer Linkugel. Survivors include son, Rev. David (Diane) Linkugel, Elkhorn, Neb.; daughters, Carolyn (Phillip) Fishburn, Haven, Kan., Nancy (Rev. Randy) Jeppesen, Medford, Wisc.; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. The family requests memorials in lieu of flowers. A memorial fund is established to Good Shepherd Lutheran School and Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary
