Helen M. Kracht, 87, of Marysville, KS, died February 21, 2021 at Community Memorial Healthcare in Marysville. Visitation was Thursday, February 25, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Kinsley Mortuary in Marysville. The family received friends from 5 to 7 p.m. A funeral service was held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 26, at Kinsley Mortuary. President Mark Schoenrock, Beatrice Branch President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints officiated. Music included “How Great Thou Art”, “I Stand All Amazed”, and a song sung by Kelly Vineski, Helen's granddaughter. The pallbearers were Tracy Edwards, Travis Edwards, Chance Hight, Joseph Kracht, Jeremy Kracht, Kevin Kracht, Chris Remmenga, Liam Reed and Zach Dixon. The honorary pallbearers were her many other grandkids and great grandkids. Burial was in the Marysville City Cemetery. Helen was born January 5, 1934 in Marysville to Alfred Strange and Lua Mildred Smith. On June 8, 1952, she married Ralph Kracht. To this union eight children were born. Helen worked at Mary Marshall Manor and Community Memorial Hospital in Marysville. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Helen was a strong loving mother and caring grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and brother, Kenneth Strange. Survivors include her children, David Kracht, Mesa, AZ, Dennis (Ruth) Kracht, Marysville, KS, Janis Edwards, Marysville, Jerry (Joyce) Kracht, Bremen, KS, Sharon Suratt, Blue Springs, NE, Sam Kracht, Marysville, Amy Walker, Suwanee, GA, and Angie (Clayton) Reed, Blue Rapids, KS; sister, Ruth (Naylor) Lowell, Beatrice, NE; 25 grandchildren and 51 great grandchildren.
