On April 22, 1940, she married Byron M. Wanklyn. They had two daughters, Shirley and Carolyn. They lived on a farm north of Home where she worked as a farm wife. The Midway Country School was near their home, so she boarded every teacher that taught there. In 1995, they purchased a house in Marysville, and she moved into town. Shortly after Country Place Senior Living opened, she moved there where she lived until moving to Cambridge Place. Iva was a member of Eastern Star and a 4H leader where she taught crafts. She enjoyed traveling to Colorado, crocheting, cooking and playing cards, especially Euchre. Iva volunteered at the hospital and RSVP. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Byron on July 25, 1996; and sister, Clara Keller. Survivors include her daughters, Shirley Lucas and Carolyn (Lonny) Jones, all of Marysville; five grandchildren, Jansy (Scott) Wentzel, Jennifer (Vance Kelley) Jones, Andy Jones, Anne (Casey) Ruiz and Erin (Scott) Wieden; eight great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. A memorial fund has been established to Meadowlark Hospice. Contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary.
