James D. Baker, 61, of Marysville, KS, died July 2, 2022 at Bryan West in Lincoln, NE. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 5, from noon to 9 p.m. at Kinsley Mortuary in Marysville. A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Wednesday, July 6, at the Marysville City Cemetery. James was born February 25, 1961 to Robert and Janet (Kraemer) Baker in Marysville. He is a graduate of Marysville High School. James worked for Landoll Corporation, Travalong Trailers and as a conductor for the Union Pacific Railroad. He liked to show Nova cars, listen to music and attend concerts. James was a gentle, good person and always helped the underdog. He was always worried about taking care of family, right up until he passed. He liked reading Steven King novels and traveling. Preceding him in death was his father; his grandparents; and brother, William Wecker.. Survivors include his mother, Janet Wecker; sisters Bobbie Jo Baker, Greenleaf, Carmen Forrest, Kansas City, MO; and brother, Jerry Wecker, Marysville.
