Skip was born on August 29, 1969, in Fond Du Lac, WI and is the adopted son of Allen and Jean (Westra) Bronkhorst. He was raised on the dairy farm in Wisconsin and was driving tractors at 5 years old. At the age of 8 years old he loved to ride his 3-wheeler. This led him to fall in love with riding motorcycles, having a few tumbles along the way. Riding his Harley was a passion of his along with driving trucks. Skip has been driving trucks for over 35 years, working for multiple companies throughout that time. In his early driving years, he worked as a chauffeur then moved on to driving semis. Skip hauled a variety of products from paper, canned goods, and for the mail service. He wanted to try something different, so he found a custom harvesting company which led him to Kansas. From there he pulled a hopper bottom and then found his enthusiasm in livestock. He loved hauling pigs, steers, fats, heifers and bulls which took him to most of the surrounding states. Skip loved being outdoors, either working in the yard, tinkering in the garage, chopping wood to clear out pastures and/or chopping firewood for friends. He was a strong supporter of the Green Bay Packers. Skip was a very hard worker and never knew how to stop. He would help anyone at a drop of a hat. Skip loved being around good friends with an ice-cold Pabst and sharing meals with his 3 favorite pups: Iggy, Harley, and Lucy. Preceding him in death are his grandparents, Edward “Eppa” and Agnes Westra, Randolph, WI and Bill and Tracy Bronkhorst, Brandon, WI. Survivors include his spouse, Pamela Dobrovolny, Greenleaf, KS; child, Steven Bronkhorst, Waupun, WI; parents, Allen and Jean Bronkhorst, Randolph, WI; sister, Laurie (Kurt) Vande Zande, Waupun, WI; brother, John (Shelly) Bronkhorst, Waupun, WI; several nieces and nephews.
