Jerald A. “Jerry” Munsterman, 71, died Monday, March 1, 2021 in Wichita. Visitation was held Thursday, March 4, 2021 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Hanover at 12:30 p.m. with a funeral service that followed at 1:30 p.m. Burial was in the church cemetery. Jerald Anthony Munsterman was born on March 11, 1949 in Concordia, Kansas, the son of Herman Munstermann and his wife Lucille Mueller Munstermann. He received his gift of eternal life on Monday, March 1, 2021 in Wichita, Kansas. Jerry was 71 years, 11 months, and 18 days old. He was Baptized into the Christian faith on March 27, 1949 at Trinity Lutheran Church by the Rev. Theo. Kauffeld. His sponsors were: Herman Munstermann, Sr., Martin Mueller, and Marvin Mueller. He confessed his Christian faith in the Rite of Confirmation at Trinity on April 7, 1963. His Confirmation Pastor was Rev. August Pera. Jerry graduated from the 8th Grade at Trinity Lutheran School; he graduated from Hanover High School in 1967. From 1967 to 1969 he attended Beloit VoTec and received his degree in electrical engineering. After graduating from Beloit, Jerry enlisted in the United States Navy serving from June 1969 to March 1973, seeing action in Vietnam. Jerry served His Lord as a lifelong member of Trinity, as a member of The Youth Choir, and a member of the Walther League. He owned and operated Diller Electric. After selling the business he moved to Anchorage, Alaska, Washington D.C. and then to Wichita. Jerry enjoyed traveling and attending the theater, especially in Washington, D.C. He was preceded in death by his parents Herman and Lucille. He is survived by his two brothers: Mark Munsterman and his wife Kathy of Wichita, Kansas, and Bruce Munstermann and his wife Julie of Auburn, Kansas. He is survived by his nephew Brett Munstermann and his niece Hannah Munstermann both of Auburn, Kansas. He is finally survived by his many friends from one coast to another. We give thanks to the Lord for all of His blessings poured out upon Jerry during his life, especially for his gift of eternal life in Heaven that he now enjoys through faith in Christ our Lord. A memorial fund is established to St. Jude Children's Hospital. Contributions may be sent in care of Hanover Mortuary, Hanover.
