Private family burial in the Marysville City Cemetery. Jon was born February 17, 1987, in Marysville to James and Alice (Detimore) Esslinger. He graduated from Marysville High School in 2006. Jon worked for Dan Hooyer at Hooyer Construction and at Landoll’s Manufacturing as a master assembler in trailer finals. He was a hard worker at everything he did. Some things he enjoyed were being outdoors, fishing, camping, collecting things he could scrap out, watching the KC Chiefs and drinking Dr. Pepper. He enjoyed watching the kids’ sporting events and spending time with family and friends. Jon loved spoiling his granddaughter Alaya, she had her papa Jon wrapped around her little fingers. Jon had a knack for finding a way to fix something. He enjoyed helping others, no matter what was needed. Jon was everyone’s right hand man for fixing whatever needed to be fixed and if he didn’t know how, he would watch videos to learn how. Jon would go Jeeping with his friends and loved Dodge trucks, especially his Power Wagon. He was looking forward to helping his dad finish their shop. He is preceded in death by his sister, Theresa Marie Esslinger; grandparents, Ruby (Detimore) Oberheiman, Berniece (Esslinger) Ayers and LeRoy Detimore. Survivors include his wife, Lynette; parents; James and Alice (Detimore) Esslinger; children, Brooklyn Miller, Adreanna Miller, Jay Esslinger, Camden Esslinger, and Draysten Esslinger; brother, Justin (Megan) Esslinger; granddaughter, Alaya Miller; grandfather, George (Les) Ayers, Washington; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to his children’s education fund. Contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary.
