A well lived life-a beautiful woman of God, Josie was born September 22, 1938 to Paligrino and Mary Angelo in Oglesby, Illinois. Josie grew up in Oglesby and moved to Omaha, Nebraska after graduation. She moved to Hanover, then Marysville, and years later to Lincoln, Nebraska. She married her best friend, Jack Butler, and they raised 4 children: Joe, Greg, Angela and Frankie. The Butler home was full of love, laughter and even in the bad times a bond that can never be broken. Josie and Jack loved spending time with family, friends and being a part of the Marysville community. Time with family and friends was so important to Josie-memories are treasured in our hearts forever. Josie and her sense of adventure showed through as an on air reporter for KWBE radio in Beatrice, a city council woman for the City of Marysville, a songwriter and a published author. Josie spent time using her gifts for the Lord. She was an excellent cook and always had extra food and gifts for whoever may be a guest in her home. Thanksgiving and Christmas was always a place for family and anyone needing a place to be for the holidays. Josie is the author of 5 books, "The Awesome Adventures of Frankie Stargazer", "The Ultimate Battle of Frankie Stargazer", "When it Rings True", "The Kissing Door", and "The Protector". She was recognized in her hometown of Oglesby as a featured author. Josie traveled three continents with her daughter Frankie and best friend Sonia Small. Traveling to Israel and Italy were her favorite trips. Josie was an integral part of planting a church in her community, Marysville Christian Fellowship. Josie was a believer and her faith has moved mountains during her lifetime. She was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband Jack; brothers, Joe, Mike, Sam, Anthony; sister, Antoinette; and grandson, Shane Butler. Josie is survived by her children, Joseph (Shelly), Hendersonville, TN, Gregory (Renee), Kansas City, KS, Angela (Rich), and Frankie (Jaime) from Lincoln, NE; and siblings, Mary (Skeetz), George and Frank.
