Joyce E. Schroller, 75, of Oketo, Kan., died January 4, 2019 at her home.Visitation was Tuesday, January 8, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Kinsley Mortuary in Marysville.A rosary service was held at 5:00 p.m., Tuesday at St. Gregory's Catholic Church in Marysville.A funeral services was at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, January 9 at St. Gregory's Catholic Church. Father Nathan Haverland officiated. Musicians were Rosemary Forst and Paula Landoll-Smith. Song selections were "Here I Am, Lord," "Open My Eyes," "On Eagles Wings," "Song of Farewell" and "You Are Mine." The pallbearers were Derick Schroller, Brennan Wetter, Logan Wetter, Loran Caffrey, Jim Keller, Chad Rhodes and Randy Jones. The honorary pallbearers were Brandon and Suzanne Mooradian and Kevin Kirkland.Burial was in the Oketo Cemetery. Joyce was born February 17, 1943 at Marysville to Joseph and Juanita (Butler) Barker. She graduated from Barneston High School. On April 8, 1961 she married William “Billy” Schroller at Manhattan, Kan. Joyce worked at Landoll Corporation, Mary Marshall Manor as a social worker and operated a day care in Marysville. She was also an EMT with the Marysville Ambulance Service. She enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s events, crafts, reading and making jewelry. Joyce was a member of the Legion Auxiliary and past member of the Moose Lodge. She was preceded in death by her parents; infant son, Scott Schroller; and two sisters, Janet Mick and Jody Barker.Survivors include her husband, Billy Schroller; sons, Rick (Deanna) Schroller and Ron (Joan) Schroller, all of Oketo; daughter, Nikki (Mark) Wetter, Marysville; brother, Kevin (Shannon) Height, Greenleaf, Kan.; 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.A memorial fund has been established and will be designated later. Contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary.
