Julie F. Goeckel, 62, of Hanover, KS, died March 2, 2024, at the Hanover Long Term Care.
Visitation was Tuesday, March 5, from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Hanover Mortuary.
A rosary service was held at 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, at St. John’s Catholic Church in Hanover.
A funeral service was held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 6, at St. John’s Catholic Church.
The pallbearers were John Beckmann, Matt Beckmann, Colton Beckmann, Mike Rencin, Steve Kruse and Mike White.
Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Julie was born on September 11, 1961, at Washington, KS, to Cleo and Joann (Volesky) Klozenbucher. She graduated from Washington High School. For 19 years, she worked as an operator at Tension Envelope Corporation in Marysville, KS.
She was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church and was a part of the Altar Society.
Attending her children’s school parties and dressing up for Halloween were some of Julie’s favorite activities to do. She loved playing card games, watching game shows and birthday parties. Her children and grandchildren were the light of her life, she enjoyed seeing them whenever they would visit. Babies would make Julie light up and brought a smile to her face.
She is preceded in death by her father.
Survivors include her four children, Jeremy (Abigail) Goeckel, Jill (Brian) Friedrichs, Brooke (Shea) Feldhausen and Brandon Goeckel; eight grandchildren, Landon and Carson Goeckel, Ashlyn, Emma, Lillian and Bennett Friedrichs, and Liam and Julianne Feldhausen; mother, Joann; siblings, Kevin Klozenbucher, Carlene Smith, Kim Klozenbucher, Cindy Jones, Stacie Bajwa and Robert Klozenbucher.
A memorial fund has been established to the Hanover Hospital and another to be determined. Contributions may be sent in care of the Hanover Mortuary.
