Karen L. Dick, 77, Marysville, died Sunday, July 21, 2024, at Cambridge Place in Marysville.
A graveside funeral service was held at 10 a.m., Monday, July 29, 2024, at the Marysville City Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers were Daniel Dick, Rachell Goodwin, Jamie Dick and Jessie Dick.
Burial took place in the Marysville City Cemetery.
Karen was born on June 2, 1947, in Marysville to Tyrus and Maxine (Slupianek) Thompson. In 1965, she graduated from Marysville High School and went to work at Thompson Lumber as a secretary. She later worked 25 years for Cedar Bluff Feeders.
Karen raised flowers and did gardening. She was a member of the local quilting club and made quilts for her grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking for her family on holidays, bowling, working jigsaw puzzles and playing Yahtzee with her friend, Angie.
Preceding her in death are her parents; and son, Jerry Dick.
Survivors include son, Kelley Dick, Abilene, KS; brother, Robert Thompson, Marysville, KS; four grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
A memorial fund is established to the Evangelical United Church of Christ. Contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary, Marysville, KS.
