Larry L. Reinhardt, 81, of Oketo, KS, died December 5, 2020 at Community Memorial Healthcare in Marysville. Private family funeral services will be held in the Home Cemetery, Home, KS. Larry was born February 19, 1939, at Marysville, KS, son of Lloyd and Geneva (Breunsbach) Reinhardt. In 1957, he graduated from Marysville High School. After graduation, Larry joined the family farm with his father and brother, Dick, and continued farming until his retirement. Larry worked at Marysville Livestock Sale Barn for 25 plus years and was also a substitute bus driver for USD 364. Larry was a lifetime member of the Friedens Lutheran Church in Home City, until it closed in 2010. He was a simple man who enjoyed life's simple pleasures. He enjoyed bowling, Barneston and Beattie Fish Fries, roller skating at Club 36, watching his nieces and nephews at the fair with their 4-H projects as well as attending their school and sporting events. At Christmas time he always found the perfect, if not too large for the living room, Christmas tree. During the wintertime you could always find him picking out walnuts at the kitchen table. And he never turned down a good game of UNO or a plate of homemade cookies. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, LoAllen Obermeyer; and sister-in-law, Sharen Reinhardt. Survivors include brother, Dick Reinhardt; brother-in-law, Kent Obermeyer; three nieces, Keli (Roy) Yungeberg, Waterville, Regan (Ron) Raub, Frankfort, and Reily (Ryan) Wieters, Barnes; two nephews, Kurt (Peggy) Obermeyer, Oketo, and Kris Obermeyer, Fairbury, NE; eleven great nieces and nephews; and ten great-great nieces and nephews. A memorial fund has been established to the Oketo Rural Volunteer Fire Department. Contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary.
