Linda Sue Stitt, 69, of Marysville, KS, died March 12, 2019 at Cambridge Place in Marysville. Visitation was Friday, March 15, from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m., at Kinsley Mortuary in Marysville. A funeral service was held at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 16 at the United Methodist Church in Marysville. Rev. Dale Lewis officiated. The musicians were Deb Landoll, Wayne Kruse and Amelia Hoelting. Music included “On Eagles Wings”, “Here I Am Lord”, “Amazing Grace” and “How Great Thou Art”. The pallbearers were Justin Shum, Wes Seidl, Ron Grauer, Max Searcey, David Seidl, Albert Hoelting and Albert Hoelting, Jr. Burial was in the Marysville City Cemetery. Linda was born August 18, 1949, in Marysville to Myron "Jack" and Darlene (Sedlacek) Stitt. She was a 1967 graduate of Marysville High School. She started working for Galloway, Wiegers, Sprouse, and Heeney Law Firm as a legal secretary in February 1967. She was a very faithful and loyal employee up until her health prevented her to continue. She retired in Oct., 2012 after 45 years. Linda liked to do yard work and being outdoors. She really enjoyed going to car races and always took pride in driving nice cars. She was an avid K-State fan enjoying both sporting events and listening to the K-State band. She loved doting on her niece and nephew whenever she had a chance. Linda was a member of the United Methodist Church. Preceding her in death were her parents. Survivors include her sister, Kathy (Larry) Shum, Marysville; niece, Karmen (Jeremy) Genrich, Leawood, KS; nephew, Justin Shum, Denver, CO; and great nieces and nephew, Ella Genrich, Lily Genrich and Kyler Genrich A memorial fund is established and will be designated later.
