Loretta Jueneman, 86, of Hanover, KS, died December 23, 2019 at Lincoln, NE. Visitation was Thursday, December 26, from 10 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Hanover Mortuary. A rosary service was held at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, at St. John’s Catholic Church in Hanover. A funeral service was held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 27 at St. John’s Catholic Church. Father Joseph Kieffer officated. The musicians were Janet Fritschi, Theresa Knabe and John Knabe. Music included “Angels We Have Heard on High”, “Hail Mary, Gentle Woman”, “On Eagles Wings” and “Go in Peace”. The pallbearers were Michael Ysusi, Kyle Pralle, Emmitt Jueneman, Joel Piper, Aaron Diederich, Michael Jueneman and Alex Gummersheimer. The honorary pallbearers were Leonard Doebele, Jim Sandmann, Bob Sandmann, Tom Scheetz, Todd Jueneman and Warren Knabe. Burial was in St. John’s Catholic Cemetery. Loretta was born June 12, 1933 north of Marysville, to Frank and Marie (Sandmann) Ruhkamp, Jr. In 1950, she graduated from Marysville High School. On June 23, 1962 she married Wilbur Jueneman at St. Gregory’s Catholic Church in Marysville. After graduating high school, Loretta worked at JCPenney in Marysville for several years as a bookkeeper. She then was the bookkeeper for the family construction business. Loretta enjoyed cooking, trying new recipes from her many cookbooks she acquired, making vinegar cucumbers, peanut clusters and popcorn balls. She also enjoyed sewing, quilting and shoes. Survivors include her husband, Wilbur; children, Ellen (Rick) Pralle, Bremen, Ruth (Russ) Holle, McPherson, KS, Frank (Melony) Jueneman, Hanover, and Amy (Wade) Gummersheimer, Columbia, IL; 9 grandchildren, Kyle (Kari) Pralle, Alexa (Michael) Ysusi, Sydney (Aaron) Diederich, Kirsten (Joel) Piper, Camry Holle, Michael Jueneman, Emmitt Jueneman, Alex Gummersheimer and Lauryn Gummersheimer; and 2 great-grandchildren, Jameson Pralle and Huxley Ysusi. She was preceded in death by her parents; and grandson, Jackson Jueneman. A memorial fund has been established to be determined later. Contributions may be sent in care of the Hanover Mortuary.
