Marilyn Ruth Crimmins

Marilyn Ruth Crimmins (Dam), 93, Arvada, CO passed away on November 14, 2019 surrounded by loved ones. Marilyn was born on a small farm southwest of Marysville in Marshall County, KS on December 30, 1925 to Harvey and Maude Dam. Marilyn was married to Harold Crimmins from 1949 to 1982 and moved to Colorado in 1955. She greatly enjoyed the company of her brothers and sisters and their families and looked forward to their family reunions in Colorado. A Kansas girl at heart, reminiscing about the rolling prairies and fields of sunflowers, Marilyn will always be remembered as a soft-spoken loving mother. She enjoyed dancing, playing bridge and reading the paper daily, keeping up with current events. She was a very strong woman and lived independently caring for her home and gardens until a few years before her passing. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Marjorie Dam and Geraldine McDonald; and two brothers, Leland and Winton Dam. She is survived by two sons, Michael Crimmins of Corpus Christi, TX; and Bradley Crimmins of Arvada, CO; six loving grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. She will be laid to rest in the Marysville City Cemetery. A memorial service will be held a later date. A memorial fund has been established and will be designated later.
