Marjorie J. Cudney, 88, of Marysville, died Monday, December 7, 2020 at Cambridge Place in Marysville. Visitation will be Sunday, December 13, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Kinsley Mortuary in Marysville. Masks are required for visitation and all services. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 14, at St. Gregory's Catholic Church in Marysville. A rosary vigil will be held at 1:30 p.m. before the funeral. Pallbearers are Rick Cudney, Don Cudney, Leo Cudney Jr., Mark Cudney, Bob Cudney, Mike Cudney, Bryan Cudney, and Gary Heiserman. Burial will be in St. Gregory's Catholic Cemetery. Marjorie was born November 16, 1932, at Marysville, KS, daughter of John P. and Gertrude Rose (Cain) Maas. She was baptized on November 20, 1932 and First Communion was in May 1940. In 1950, she graduated from Marysville High School. On March 23, 1957, she married Darrell Cudney. She and Darrell enjoyed doing things together. They both had pilot licenses and enjoyed flying. She also enjoyed spending time outdoors, hunting, fishing and was an avid reader. She had many close friends and loved spending time talking on the phone with them. Religion and faith were important to her. She worked at Exchange Bank of Schmidt & Koester and the ASCS office in Marysville. Marjorie also raised dogs including Maltese, Yorkies and Dalmatians and stayed in contact with many of the people she sold the dogs to. She was a member of St. Gregory’s Catholic Church and Altar Society. She was preceded in death by her husband, Darrell, on August 30, 2019; and her parents. Survivors include her sister-in-law, Charlotte Heiserman, Lawrence, KS; brother-in-law, Leo (Joyce) Cudney, Sr., Marysville; and many nieces and nephews.
