Marjorie was born January 1, 1930 in Fostoria, KS, to Marvin D and Beulah (Morford) Pauley. In 1947, she graduated from Fostoria High School and attended Palmer's Secretarial School in Manhattan, KS. On January 25, 1951 she married Mervin Earl Nord. They moved to Marysville and raised their three daughters. They were also blessed with three grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Marge enjoyed scrap booking as a youth and helping her parents with their local store. She worked for Pottawatomie County Extension Service prior to her marriage. She worked as the United Methodist Church secretary for Merris Brady and 23 years for Lee Dam with City Sewing Machine Company. She also enjoyed getting to know area children as a bus driver for the Marysville School District and baked many a delicious biscuit for Hardees. Merv and Marge enjoyed special friendships. Camping and boating extended to family crews and great neighbors. This led to many fish fries for all to enjoy. She was creative with her sewing and craft skills making matching outfits for herself and her three girls. She loved to share her crafts and was an active member of the Blue Valley Rug Hookers. Being at the Nords' home was always a fun time for grandchildren and many special memories were made with granddaughter Jenni and all her friends. Marge was a member of the United Methodist Church and American Legion Auxiliary in Marysville. Preceding her in death were her parents; baby brother, Duane Pauley; brotherly cousin, Larry Morford; husband, Mervin; daughter, Joni Garcia; granddaughter, Jenni Jo Schell; and great grandson, River Jo Henry Peeks. Survivors include her daughters, Deb (Bill Harrod) Nord, Dallas OR, and Phyllis (Dane) Clark, Roxbury, KS; grandchildren, Betsey (Charlie) Potts, Savannah, MO, and Brendon (Tabatha) Clark, Wichita, KS; seven greatgrandchildren, Elijah Potts, Isaiah Potts, Esther Potts, Faith Potts, Noah Clark, Nora Clark and Killian Clark. The family suggest memorial contributions be made to the United Methodist Church in memory of Marge. Contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary.
