Mary Rose Griffin

Mary Rose Griffin, 80, Frankfort, KS, died peacefully Wednesday, September 4, 2019, at her home. Visitation was Friday, September 6, from 5 to 8 p.m., at Padden Funeral Chapel in Frankfort. A funeral service was held at Annunciation Catholic Church in Frankfort. Mary was born in Leoville, Kan. on November 23, 1938 to Joseph and Laura (Schroer) Berls.  She married Dr. Robert Griffin Sr. on September 5, 1959 in Selden, Kan.  Mary studied business courses at Fort Hays University.  She worked as a dental assistant for four years and spent the next thirty years at the Family Vet Clinic.  Mary was also an EMT for several years. She was a member of Annunciation Catholic Church, Altar Society and The Red Hat Association.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and playing golf. Preceding her in death were her parents.  Survivors include her husband, Robert; children, Laura Marie (Fred) Yaap Waxahachie, TX and children Kyle, Matt and Ryan Anderson; Dr. Robert Arthur (Terri) Griffin Jr, Frankfort and their children Megan Parthemer husband Garret (Gabe, Brody, Autumn and Summer), Jessica Marean husband Brandon (Braelynne, Griffin and Everleigh), Taylor Griffin (fiance Colton McKnight); Gary Michael (Lori) Griffin, Louisburg and children Gentry Harding husband Drew (Rowan), Garrett Griffin (fiance Sonya Murphy); Susan Ann Kite, Scott City and children Shelby Kite (Sage), Drew Kite; brother, Jim Berls (Jan), Kansas City; Larry Berls (Sheila) McCook, NE; sisters, Maxine Shipley, Hoxie; Joyce Chaffin (Howard), Colorado Springs, CO and Linda Moses, McCook, NE.
