Mary Joleen Fisher Cohorst

Mary Joleen Fisher Cohorst, 66, of Marysville, KS, died Saturday, June 20, 2020 at Community Memorial Healthcare in Marysville. A rosary service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 24, at St. Gregory's Catholic Church in Marysville. A funeral service will follow at 10:30 a.m. Father Nathan Haverland will officiate. The musicians will be Rachel Massoth and Kristen Volle. Music will include “Here I Am Lord”, “Bread, Blessed and Broken”, “On Eagles Wings”, “You Are Mine” and “Amazing Grace”. The honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Samantha Volle, Kristen Volle, Andrew Volle, Madison Volle, Larrisa Fisher, Justin Walters and Jade Fisher. Burial will be in St. Gregory's Catholic Cemetery. She was born on April 26, 1954 in Marysville, to Ed and Mary Jane (Schmidt) Foley. In 1972, she graduated from Marysville High School. Joleen worked as a beautician for many years, where she owned the Stylette Salon in Marysville. She was also co-owner of Fisher Rocks at Home, Kansas. She married Steven Cohorst on September 21, 2019 in Marysville. Joleen was a member of St. Gregory’s Catholic Church in Marysville. Survivors include her two sons, Josh (Vicki) Volle, Marysville, and Michael (Danielle) Fisher, El Paso, TX; husband, Steven Cohorst, Marysville; and 7 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jimmy; and granddaughter, Cheyenne Volle. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Gregory’s Catholic Church or St. Gregory’s Catholic School.
