Myra L. Dixon, 55, of Blue Rapids, KS, died August 12, 2021, at her sons home in Barneston, NE. Visitation was held Monday, August 16, from 1 to 9 p.m. at Kinsley Mortuary in Marysville. The family received friends from 5 to 7 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 17 at Kinsley Mortuary. Janelle Knowles will officiate. The honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Kyle Dixon, Zach Dixon, Hailey Jones, Lucas Jones and Piper Jones. Private family burial will be in the Bellegarde Cemetery, south of Blue Rapids, KS. Myra was born October 14, 1965, at Seneca, KS, to Edward and Peggy (Burton) Hasenkamp. She graduated from Axtell High School. On February 14, 1989, she married Robert Dixon at Marysville. They lived in Blue Rapids. Myra worked as a Medical Aide at CMH Long Term Care and Country Place Senior Living in Marysville. She enjoyed her family, garage sales and cooking. Myra was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Dixon, Sr., on November 20, 2008; and her father. Survivors include her mother, Peggy Hasenkamp, Axtell, KS; two children, Chantelle (William) Jones, Blue Rapids, and Edward (Jessica) Dixon, Barneston; two stepchildren, Robert (Alicia) Dixon, Jr., Florida, and Theresa (Mike) Johnson, Bolivar, MO; daughter-in-law, Angie Reed, Blue Rapids; two sisters, Ember (Perry) Lowrey, Midland, TX, and Jocelyn (Jeff) Payne, Sabetha, KS; ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and companion, Gary Logan.
