Nancy Jo Holtz, 74, formerly of Beattie, KS, died Saturday, June 12, 2021 at her home in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 16, from 4 to 9 p.m. at Kinsley Mortuary in Marysville, KS. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, June 17, at Kinsley Mortuary in Marysville. Dave Johnson will officiate. The hymns will be "Peace in the Valley" and "Precious Lord, Take My Hand". The pallbearers will be Brad Buerer, Danny Buerer, Tim Hoffman, David Runnebaum, Eric Solomon and Duane McClellan. The honorary pallbearers will be Mason Buerer, Korbin Solomon, Caiden Solomon, Kyler Solomon, Hadley Buerer and Jace Buerer. Burial will be in the Beattie Union Cemetery, Beattie. Nancy was born to Elden and Eunice (Louthian) Koch on January 15, 1947 in Beattie. She attended and graduated from Beattie High School. On August 29, 1965, she married Harold Holtz. Nancy worked for nursing homes, Child Protective Services and was owner of the Hill Top Inn in Republican City, NE. She enjoyed her family, traveling and sewing. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold; sister, Judy McClellan; and brother, Jerry Koch. Survivors include her children, Tina (Tim) Buerer, Harvard, NE, and Tammy Holtz, Colorado Springs, CO; three grandchildren, Katie (Eric) Solomon, Kearney, NE, Brad (Vanessa) Buerer, Grand Island, NE; and Danny (Courtney) Buerer, Bladen, NE; sisters, Janice Bacon, Charleston, SC, Joy Gressman, Lincoln, NE, and Jean (Joe) Warders, Blue Rapids; and six great grandchildren.
