Patricia L. Kramer, 84, of Axtell, KS, died Thursday, October 14, 2021, at Life Care Center in Seneca, KS. Visitation will be Monday, October 18, from noon to 5 p.m. at Axtell-Landreth Funeral Home in Axtell. A rosary service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Monday, at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Axtell. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 19, at St. Michael's Catholic Church. Father Jim Shaughnessy will officiate. Kathy Buessing will play the organ and the choir will sing “Be Not Afraid”, “Precious Lord”, “On Eagles Wings” and “City of God”. The pallbearers will be Bryce Buss, Shane Kramer, Travis Kramer, Rusty Kramer, Mark Deters, John Deters, Adam Deters and Paul Deters. Burial will be in St. Bridget Catholic Cemetery. Patricia was born April 26, 1937, to Stephen and Margaret (Mitchell) Glynn. In 1955, she graduated from Axtell High School. On April 23, 1957, she married Melvin Kramer at St. Bridget Catholic Church. They farmed and lived in the St. Bridget area north of Axtell for forty-eight years, before moving to Axtell in 2005. Patricia enjoyed making quilts, embroidery, reading puzzles, cooking, baking and playing cards. She loved being with her grandchildren and helping raise the calves on the dairy farm. Patricia volunteered at the Habitat for Humanity thrift shop in Marysville for many years. She was also a member of the St. Michael’s Church Guild. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brother, Jerry Glynn. Survivors include her children, Bill (Caroline) Kramer, Axtell, Kathy (Earl) Kramer, Corning, KS, Mary (Nick) Deters, Baileyville, KS, and Joan (Ron) Schroller, Oketo, KS; sisters, Phyllis Mathewson, Seneca, KS, and Gladys Koch, Seneca; 17 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. A memorial fund has been established and will be designated later. Contributions may be sent in care of the Axtell-Landreth Funeral Home.
