Ralph C. Plegge, 89, Marysville, died January 17, 2022 at Community Memorial Health Care in Marysville. Visitation will be Friday, April 15, 2022 from noon until 9:00 p.m. at Kinsley Mortuary. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 16, 2022 at the United Methodist Church in Marysville. Burial will be in the Marysville City Cemetery. Ralph was born on August 17, 1932 in Marysville the son of August and Minnie (Pronske) Plegge. In 1950, he graduated from Marysville High School. After graduation, he joined the army and while stationed in New York, he met his wife, Diana Rogalski. They were married on November 27, 1958, in Orchard Park, NY. Diana preceded him in death on March 28, 2012. While living in New York, Ralph owned his own floor business, Superior Floor Maintenance. In 1974, Ralph moved his family back to Marysville and started farming with his brother Herb and drove a truck for Always Freight Company. Ralph was a member of the Marysville American Legion and served on the Honor Guard. He enjoyed family get-togethers, playing cards, going to K-State basketball games, watching football and mowing his daughters yard in the summer. He also enjoyed cooking steaks at the Wagon Wheel, visiting with the customers and telling a few jokes. He loved spending time with his granddaughters and going to their activities. Ralph was a member of the United Methodist Church and served on the Marysville Township Board. After he retired from farming, Ralph and Diana traveled to Alaska, Hawaii, England, Ireland, Scotland, the Caribbean and various other places in the United States. Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Diana; and brothers, Walt Plegge, Ernie Plegge and Arlo Plegge. Survivors include his son, Michael Plegge, Colorado Spring, CO; daughter, Laurie Parks, Marysville; two granddaughters, Jennifer Parks, San Antonio, TX, and Katie Parks, Marysville; and brother, Herb Plegge, Marysville.
