Robert "Bob" C. Martin

Robert "Bob" C. Martin, 98, of Marysville, KS, died July 1, 2023, at Cambridge Place in Marysville. Visitation was Wednesday, July 5, from 1 to 9 p.m. at Kinsley Mortuary in Marysville. A rosary service was held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 6, at St. Gregory's Catholic Church in Marysville. The funeral mass began at 10:30 a.m. Father Quentin Schmitz officiated. Burial was in St. Gregory's Catholic Cemetery. Bob was born January 30, 1925, in Wetmore, KS, to James and Margaret Ellen (White) Martin. He graduated from Wetmore High School in 1943. On June 17, 1950, Bob was united in marriage to Dorothy Ring at St. Rose of Lima in Kansas City, KS. Together they lived in Kansas City and Marshall, MO, before moving to Marysville in 1994. Bob worked as a Human Resource Manager for Wilson Packing and Tyson Foods. He enjoyed golfing and always had a story to tell. Bob was a member of the Old Buzzards Coffee Club. He is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy in 2012; parents; siblings, Madeline Martin, Mildred Littrell, Lucille Barnes, Betty McKim and James Martin. Survivors include his nieces and nephews. A memorial fund has been established to St. Gregory's Catholic Church Building Fund. Contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary.
