Rose Marie Stauffer, 75, of Frankfort, Kansas, died Thursday May 19, 2022, at Blue Valley Senior Living, Blue Rapids, Kansas. Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m., Saturday, May 28 at Padden Funeral Chapel in Frankfort. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Private burial services will be held at a later date. Rose Marie was born May 19, 1947, in Junction City, Kansas, to Peter Tully and Marietta Hartung Tully. She attended and graduated from Luckey High School, Manhattan, Kansas, where she was active in Catholic Youth Organization, Marianettes, drama club, and yearbook staff. She also worked at the Manhattan City Hall during this time. George G. Stauffer and Rose Marie Tully were united in marriage at St. Joseph’s Church on Lower McDowell Creek Road, Manhattan, Kansas, June 19, 1965. The couple then moved to the family farm west of Frankfort, Kansas. Five daughters were born to this union, Jeanette, Kathy, Amy, Jennifer, and Sharon. Rose Marie and George were actively engaged in farming and ran a dairy for many years on the farm west of Frankfort. Rose Marie was in charge of all aspects of the dairy. When the dairy was dispersed George and Rose Marie raised Boer goats for many years. Rose Marie always raised a large garden every year and enjoyed canning and preserving the fruits of her labors. Rose Marie was an excellent cook and well-known for her baking skills and famous cinnamon rolls. She never turned anyone away for a meal no matter the time of day they arrived. Rose Marie enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, and trips that she and George took to Colorado and Alaska during their lifetime. Rose Marie was an exceptional wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be dearly missed by all. Rose Marie was preceded in death by her parents, Marietta Hartung Tully and Peter Tully; spouse, George G. Stauffer; and daughter, Amy Stus. Rose is survived by her daughters, Jeanette (Tom) Parker, Frankfort, KS; Kathy (Doug) Rogers, Frankfort, KS; Jennifer (Gabe) Dix, Kensington, KS; and Sharon (Matthew) Suppes, Baldwin City, KS; sister Margie (Jim) Jones, Herington, KS; brother Peter (Mary) Tully, Manhattan, KS; and brother Robert Tully, Manhattan, KS; 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
