Ruth Ann Vopata

Ruth A. Vopata, 91, of Frankfort, KS, died August 21, 2021, at the Frankfort Community Care Home in Frankfort. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 25, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Padden Funeral Chapel in Frankfort. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 26 at Padden Funeral Chapel. Private burial will be in the Edinborough Cemetery. Ruth was born January 15, 1930, in Marshall County, KS, daughter of Bill and Blanche (Shubkagel) Burton. In 1957, she married Anton E. Vopata. They lived west of Frankfort. Ruth helped on the farm and also worked at the Trump Apron Factory in Frankfort. She enjoyed reading, gardening, canning, sewing, and her cats. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Survivors include two sons, Robert Vopata, Frankfort, and Edward Vopata, Lake Dallas, TX. A memorial fund has been established and will be designated later. Contributions may be sent in care of Padden Funeral Chapel.
