Sandra M. Dowd

Sandra M. Dowd, 71, Frankfort, died Thursday, November 3, 2022 at the Life Care Center in Seneca, KS. A graveside service was held at 2 p.m., Monday, November 7, 2022 at the Frankfort Cemetery. Rev. Shannon Borgman was the officiant. Sandra was born on February 28, 1951 in Frankfort to Curtis Graham and Leta Mae Schilling. She attended Frankfort schools. Sandra worked for the post office, was a care giver, cleaned for businesses and was a homemaker. She wrote two books, Heavenly Inspirations of Faith, Hope and Love, volumes one and two. As an author, Sandra loved to write and research scriptures. Every day is a new day and she made it a point to make the best of every situation no matter what the challenge. Sandra enjoyed fishing, watching westerns, game shows, working crosswords and puzzles. She liked cooking, baking, reading, studying her bible, sharing gospel and tending to her flower garden. Preceding her in death were her parents; and husband, Chauncey. Survivors include sons, Kris (Sara) Dowd, Frankfort, James (Tanya) Dowd, Odessa, MO; daughter, Christina (Matt) Watkins, Seneca; sisters, Terri (Bob) Meade and Lisa (Bill) Meade, both of Centralia; brother, Randy Feltner, Mt. Grove, MO; and nine grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. A memorial fund is established and will be designated later.
