Sharon M. “Teddy” Albert (Volesky), 82, of Beatrice, Neb., formerly of Marysville, passed away on April 24, 2024 at Beatrice Community Hospital.
Visitation was held from 5 to 9 p.m., Tuesday, April 30, at Kinsley Mortuary in Marysville. The family received friends from 5 to 7 p.m.
A funeral service was held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 1, at Kinsley Mortuary in Marysville. Pastor Shannon Borgman officiated. Music included “Before The Next Teardrop Falls”, “How Great Thou Art” and “Amazing Grace”.
The pallbearers were Phil Landoll, Cody Schmitz, Joshua Roady, Chris Butler and Jesse Probst.
The honorary pallbearer was Alek Klepper.
Burial was in the Marysville City Cemetery.
Sharon was born on June 25, 1941, to John and Pearl (Warren) Volesky in Oketo, KS. She attended school until the 8th grade and then was a homemaker for many years, working hard to raise her 5 children. After that, she began working as a store clerk for a grocery store.
Sharon loved to send and receive cards to/from her family and friends. She would display them in her house along with pictures. Flowers were a favorite of Sharons, always planting them in her yard to look at. Eventually, when she could no longer do it herself, her son James would plant them for her, so she was still able to enjoy them. Sharon also collected Santas.
Preceding her in death is her parents; stepfather, Hiram Herring; brother, Warren Volesky; sisters, Rosalie Roady, Linda Jorgenson and Dawna Herring; son, Steven Probst; daughter, Sheryl Probst; grandsons, Leroy Lopez III and Jeremy Lopez; and son-in-law, Eric Klepper.
Survivors include her son, James Probst, Beatrice; daughters, Rhonda (Leroy Jr.) Lopez, Beatrice, and Angela (James) Klepper Lannigan, Beatrice; brother, Jack (Marge) Volesky, Oketo; sisters, Joan Klozenbucher, Greenleaf, KS, and Becky Butler, Marysville; grandchildren, Jesse Probst, Mike Probst, Alek Klepper, Jaimie Hartman, Whitney Lopez and Teresa Lopez; step grandchildren; great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and family.
A memorial fund has been established and will be designated later. Contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary.
