Sharon Kay Tegtmeier, 66, Hanover, died Thursday, May 3, 2018, at the KU Medical Center, Kansas City, Kan. Visitation will be Monday, May 7, from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m., at the Hanover Mortuary, Hanover. A rosary service will be Monday, at 7 p.m. at the St. John’s Catholic Church, Hanover with Father Joseph Kieffer. A funeral service is 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 8 at the Trinity Lutheran Church, north of Hanover, with Rev. Rodney Fritz officiating. Burial will be in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Sharon was born, November 6, 1951 at Lincoln, Neb. to Wilton and Betty (Schroeder) Beecham. She graduated from Palmyra High School and the University of Nebraska with a bachelor’s Degree in education. Sharon was a member of the Delta Kappa Gamma, teaching organization. She taught kindergarten, 1st grade and title 1 over her 40 years at Diller-Odell, retiring in May of 2015. Sharon had a tremendous love for all the kids. On July 12, 1980, she was united in marriage to Donald Tegtmeier at St. John’s Catholic Church, Hanover by Father Dion. He survives. Other survivors include son Jeff (Megan) Tegtmeier, Hanover; two grandchildren, June and Jaxson; brothers, Jim (Tammy) Beecham, Palmyra, Neb., Lynn Beecham, Omaha, Neb.; sister, Ann Beecham, Palmyra, Neb; brothers-in-law, Lawrence (Peg) Tegtmeier, Hanover, Norbert (Renae) Tegtmeier, Emporia, Eugene (Jeri) Tegtmeier, Hanover and Dennis (Bonita) Tegtmeier, Riley; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents; and niece Kallie Tegtmeier. A memorial fund is established and will be designated by the family later. Contributions may be sent in care of Hanover Mortuary.
