Sherry (Charlotte Faye) Gregory

Sherry (Charlotte Faye) Gregory, of Marysville, KS, passed away unexpectedly on Friday December 10, 2021, at the home of her brother, south of Holly, CO. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 15, from 5 to 9 p.m. at Kinsley Mortuary. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, December 16 at The Crossing Church in Marysville. Pastor Richard Mullen will officiate. Music will include "The Move, I Seek You”, “Amazed”, “Worthy is the Lamb” and “Amazing Grace, My Chains are Gone.” The pallbearers will be Morgan Foster, Shane Bishop, Axeton Bishop, Darren Wagner, Thomas Gregory, Craig Gregory, Jr., Lucas Packett, Tim Ackerman and Todd Ackerman. Burial will be in the Marysville City Cemetery. She was born in Garden City, KS, on December 16, 1946, to Faye and Doyle Foster, she was raised on her family farm in Baca County, CO, graduated from Walsh High School in 1964 and went on to complete her training to become a licensed cosmetologist at Lamar Community College. Sherry worked in Manhattan, KS, for four years before moving to Colorado Springs where she met Michael Gregory whom she later married in Oklahoma. Sherry and Mike were blessed with their only son, Jon Travis, on September 19, 1973. Sherry continued to work as a hairdresser and later a real estate agent in Kansas City, MO, until the family moved to Blue Rapids then Marysville, KS, where Michael worked for Union Pacific Railroad. Sherry was very devoted to Jon and loved supporting him in his wrestling pursuits until his un-timely death on October 26, 1991. Sherry then worked at Valley Vet for several years. Sherry's natural attraction to beauty led her to a hobby of painting with a talented group of women in the Marysville area. Sherry was a very active member of The Crossing congregation. Preceding her in death was her son, Jon Travis; father-in-law, Ike Gregory in 1993; father, Doyle Foster in 2002; mother, Faye Foster in 2008; husband, Michael in 2014; and most recently her mother-in-law, Barbara on November 30. Survivors include her sisters, Linda Rohlman and Vickie (Robert) Haugen, both of Littleton, CO; brother, Donald (Melanie) Foster, Holly, CO; brother-in-law, Craig (Rose) Gregory, Minden, IA; a devoted friend, Sherrie (Bruce) Busing of Marysville; five nieces and four nephews; as well as many great nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions may be made to The Crossing or the charity of your choice, and sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary , Marysville, KS.
