Sheryl M. Massie

Sheryl Marie Massie, 64, of Vermillion, Kan., died, Monday, December 31, 2018 at the Frankfort Care Home in Frankfort, Kan. Visitation will be Friday, January 4, from noon to 8 p.m., at Padden Funeral Chapel in Frankfort.  The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, January 5, at the United Methodist Church in Vermillion. Burial will be in the Vermillion Cemetery. Sheryl was born on January 25, 1954 in Beatrice, NE to Robert and Clarita (Manley) Hora.  She attended school in Marysville and graduated from Marysville High School in 1972.  On July 1, 1989, she was united in marriage to Tom Massie. Sheryl loved to cook and worked in the food industry all her life. She worked for Junes Bar and Grill, Eastside Nursing Facility, and at many restaurants.  Sheryl also worked for Petal Pusher Floral and Dutch's Bar. Preceding her in death was her father, Robert Hora Sr. Survivors include her husband, Tom Massie; mother, Clarita Hora, Wichita; daughter, Tommie (Brandon) Feldkamp, Vermillion; stepson, Joel (Erika) Massie, Lakewood, CO; step grandson, Ravon Martin; and brothers, Robert Hora Jr. and David Hora, both of Wichita.
