Shirley Louise Thomas

Shirley L. Thomas, 58, of Axtell, Kan., died April 8, 2018 at her home in Axtell.Visitation was Saturday, April 14, from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Axtell-Landreth Funeral Home.  Followed by a service at 3:30 p.m., Saturday, April 14 at the Axtell-Landreth Funeral Home.Private burial will be in the Seneca City Cemetery.Shirley was born May 3, 1959 at Hampton, Va., to Donald and Ellen (Oblea) Dixon.  She grew up in Annandale, Va.  She later moved to California and met Karen.  They moved to Mesa, Ariz., and lived there for 10 years before moving to Axtell in 2007.She enjoyed watching T.V. and games.Shirley was preceded in death by her parents.Survivors include her partner, Karen Tanking, Axtell; and two brothers, Larry Dixon and Ray (Theresa) Dixon.A memorial fund has been established to the Axtell EMS.  Contributions may be sent in care of the Axtell-Landreth Funeral Home.
