Theresa L. Zimmerling Elsinger, 68, of Marysville, Kan., died Sunday, July 14, 2019 as a result of an automobile accident in Jefferson County, east of Perry, Kan. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 26 at Kinsley Mortuary in Marysville. Theresa was born August 20, 1950 at Marysville to Walter O. and Bertille (Koel) Zimmerling. She was a homemaker, daycare provider and was known as “Aunt Theresa” to many people. On February 17, 1973, she married Merlin Sohl at Beatrice, Neb. He preceded her in death in 1981. On November 25, 1995, she married Charles Elsinger at Las Vegas, Nev. He survives. Other survivors include her brothers, Mike (Phyllis) Simmons, Walt (Charlotte) Zimmerling, all of Frankfort, Paul “PeeWee” (Mary) Zimmerling, Home, and Phil (Judy) Zimmerling, Axtell; and sisters, Grace Wion, Rose Drake, both of Texas, Zena Allen, Dolores Foutts and Dorothy Landreth, all of Kansas City. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Jimmy Zimmerling, Charlie Zimmerling and Bob Zimmerling; and sisters, Verla Towle, Nadine VanCamp and infant sister, Thelma Zimmerling.
