Travis Warren Landreth, 67, Axtell, died Thursday, January 14, 2021, from post COVID pneumonia at Stormont Vail Health in Topeka . A funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 27 at Salem Lutheran Church southwest of Axtell, KS. Pastor Cindy Cone officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. Travis was born December 6, 1953 at Axtell, KS, to Bill and Twyla Landreth. His passions included his sons, their families and his motorcycle. Trav was full of life, always willing to lend a hand, was a free spirit and willing to do anything for anybody. He was married to another free spirit, Myra Sudbeck, for 12 years. He traveled the world with Myra while in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. After an honorable discharge from the Air Force, Trav owned and operated Travis Foreign Car Repair in Topeka. He later managed the service shop at the Ford dealership in Seneca. Most recently, Trav was a self-employed painter. One of his more notable projects was painting the historic church in St. Benedict, KS. There was not a lot Trav could not do. His contagious smile and personality would light up a room and he was a great friend to many. Survivors include his sons, Jason Warren Landreth, wife Lana, their daughter, Jana and son Jaeden, of Baldwin City, KS, and Scott Travis Landreth, wife Elisa, their sons, Damion and William and daughter, Lillyan, of Plymouth, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Forrest William Landreth. A memorial fund has been established and will be designated later.
