Victor William "Bill" Behrens, Jr.

Victor William "Bill" Behrens, Jr., aged 82, of Frankfort, KS, passed away on March 9, 2025 at his home.

A visitation was held from Noon to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at Padden Funeral Chapel in Frankfort. The family was present to receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m.

Private family services were held.

Bill was born on April 17, 1942, in Marysville, Kansas, to Victor and Erma (Bull) Behrens. He graduated from Marysville High School in 1960 and served in the National Guard until receiving an honorable discharge.

On April 12, 1964, Bill married Alice Ann Clawson at the First Presbyterian Church in Frankfort, KS. This union was blessed with two sons and two daughters.

Bill briefly worked in construction, specializing in finishing basements and houses.  This led him, with the help of his neighbors, to build his family's home.  He then embarked on a long career as a printer at Clawson Printing, Inc., in Frankfort, where he worked until his retirement in May 2005. In addition to his printing career, Bill also farmed.

Bill loved reading, solving crosswords, and enjoying coffee with his friends at the gas station, always bringing a lighthearted spirit. He especially enjoyed traveling and visiting national parks.

Preceding him in death are his parents; and sister, Donna Swearingen.

Survivors include his wife, Ann; children, Julie (Dan) Roggenkamp, Jason Behrens, Blake (Cecilia) Behrens, and Brenda (Aaron) Benckeser; grandchildren, Josie (Andrew Dulin) Roggenkamp, Eli Roggenkamp, and Liam and Cora Behrens; and sister, Delores (Richard) Carlson.
