William "Bill" Jones, 78, of Frankfort, passed away February 18, 2021 at Onaga Hospital. Due to COVID, private family services will be held at the Barrett cemetery at a later time. Bill was born May 27, 1942 in Frankfort, KS. He was the oldest child of William Paul and Fern Faye (Coates) Jones. He attended Barrett Grade School and graduated from Frankfort High School. He attended Kansas State University and studied animal science. He was formerly married to Connie Boeckman and together they had one daughter, Rachel. Bill was a lifelong farmer and stockman. He was proud to be the 4th generation on the family farm. He enjoyed socializing at the co-op while buying feed for his cows. He loved caring for his animals and it made him smile when the local veterinarian would say, “when I die, I want to be reincarnated as a cow on Billy Jones’ farm!” He always had a way of telling a story and making it just a little bit more interesting. He loved to make people laugh. Bill was a member of the United Methodist Church. He served as the Bigelow township treasurer for 20 years. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his daughter, Rachel (Jake) Stowell of Frankfort; 3 grandchildren; brothers, Harry (Ann) Jones of Leavenworth and Keith (Sue) Jones of Frankfort, and sister Allene (Bill) Hanis, Colorado Springs. A memorial fund is established and will be designated later. Contributions may be sent in care of Padden Funeral Chapel.
